Ethnohistory of Ligʷiłdaxʷ people

On November 1, 2022 the Wei Wai Kum Kwiakah Treaty Society and We Wai Kai Treaty Society shared
their ethnohistory of Ligʷiłdaxʷ people with over 70 faculty of Carihi Secondary School. Chief Roberts
presented a framed print by Curtis Wilson to the school’s Principal in support of the ongoing relationship-building
and efforts toward reconciliation with the School District.

This is part of our work in sharing knowledge on our history, and Ligʷiłdaxʷ rights and title with our
youth and other youth in Campbell River.
